Okay, so I know they’re going through “a phase” at the minute – will Microsoft buy them or not, will they sign a partnership with Google, etc. But come on – what the hell’s happened to Yahoo in the last couple of months?
Whereas Yahoo used to be one of the standards for personal email and search engines, now it’s one big joke. I go to use my email – I get the lovely message “Ooops, you’ve encountered one of Yahoo Mail’s problems that prevents you from opening your message (or something like that). You can be sure we’re working on it now.” How about getting a decent mail server as opposed to this crap, Yahoo?

Also, what the deuce is the problem with Flickr (Yahoo’s photo uploading site)? I got married recently (which is why I haven’t posted in a while) and I just got the official wedding pictures back (which are beautiful, by the way, D&A Photography in Toronto!!). There’s just over 700 of them, so I thought it’d be great to upload to my Flickr account and share with friends and family. Riiiiight…
It took almost 36 hours to upload (and no, it’s NOT my computer, in case you’re wondering) and when they were complete they weren’t even all there!! Now, consider that I uploaded the exact same collection to Facebook within 4 hours, and you have to wonder what the hell the point is in having a slower upload service at a dedicated photo uploading site?
Yahoo – you blow! I hope Microsoft DOES buy you out, integrates your email into Outlook and then take over your search engine (which is nowhere near as good as Google, or even Ask!!) – ’nuff said.

I’ve been trying to tell ya – go google cause Yahoo sucks
I was once a faithful follower of Yahoo – but yeah – it’s going downhill. I constantly use Google for my Web searches, whereas I absolutely refused to in the past. I must admit – I still use Yahoo Mail and one of my personal websites is created using Yahoo Site Builder….and I always check Yahoo Headlines, but I am disappointed with the performance of the search engine over the past couple of months… Hmmm – that was a mouthful, huh? Happy 4th of July!
